Absolutely beautiful hotel. The food was amazing and the staff some of the friendliest I've known in London. A brilliant two night stay.
This was the first time staying at the Gem Strathmore in Kensington, an area I prefer when in London. My friend and I were celebrating her birthday, so wanted to choose a boutique hotel with 'old world' charm. We were very much looking forward to our stay and the Gem Strathmore Hotel exceeded all our expectations. Our twin room, although small was spotlessly clean, with a lovely bathroom, blissfully quiet and cool as the window could open to let fresh air in. The compact size of the room didn't matter to us, more important was it was peaceful to rest and sleep after a busy day in the city. To start the day the full English breakfast was superb, cooked to order, piping hot and absolutely delicious. The choice of the other breakfast items fruit, juices, cereals and baked goods was also excellent and tempted us to sample much on offer. During our stay the all the staff, from reception, housekeeping to dining room could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. Our stay was also outstanding value for money too, a real Gem hotel which didn't break the bank whilst delivering everything we wished for. Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable it made the birthday celebration very special and memorable. I would certainly recommend the Strathmore Kensington to family and friends and will definitely choose it again when in London. Hope to see you again in the future. Kindest regards, Mrs Margaret Vickers & Mrs Susan Banks p.s. We were in room 412a and got a little lost on arrival as our key cards said 413 so thanks to the lovely housekeeper whose name began with letter G which I can't recall who helped us find our 'missing' room.
My family spent over a month in a King's Wardrobe flat and it was a very comfortable, convenient and pleasant stay. The staff were GREAT and went out of their way to help in any way. It's only steps to St. Paul's and the Millennium Bridge. I highly recommend this company and location!
